New Zealand still attractive business destination.
“Low oil prices have brought to the forefront questions about how attractive New Zealand is to new investors looking global for new petroleum opportunities. With the announcement of Block Offer 2015, there is no better time to access what the likely level of future investments could be”, CEO Cameron Madgwick said today.
This year’s Advantage NZ Petroleum Summit 2015 will be held from 29-31March at SkyCity Convention Centre.
“Following the announcement of Block Offer 2015, keynote speaker Matt Howell from Wood Mackenzie will present a study that indicates where New Zealand sits relative to its competitors in areas including fiscal regime, yet-to-find volumes, exploration success, licensing regime, cost environment, above-ground-risk and commercialisation opportunities.
He looks at how New Zealand’s appealing fiscal regime and low above-ground risk makes it an attractive proposition for explorers and points to the recent entry of Woodside and Statoil and the continued presence of Anadarko as positive signs for New Zealand.
“Matt Howell is one of the most topical keynotes being delivered at his year’s Advantage NZ Petroleum Summit. With low oil prices and new blocks on offer, his insight into New Zealand’s investment environment will invaluable”, Cameron Madgwick said.
Matt will be available for interviews before and during the Advantage NZ Petroleum Summit 2015.
